As a service dedicated to the preservation, documentation, and sharing of the musical Intangible Cultural Heritage of the Indian Ocean islands, PHOI brings archival materials from the history of regional music back to life. With an educational purpose, the exhibition « Let’s Dance the Sega of the Indian Ocean » immerses visitors in the world of sega dance, a diverse genre shared across Mauritius, Rodrigues, the Seychelles, Madagascar, Réunion, and formerly also the Chagos and Agaléga.

This exhibition is part of the 2026 project « PHOI: Collecting, Preserving and Sharing Musical Heritage. » Co-funded by the European Union and the Région Réunion, the project is supported by the INTERREG VI Indian Ocean Programme 2021–2027, under action 3.3: « Strengthening cultural, artistic and sporting exchanges in the Indian Ocean. »
